We spoke with Keith Arnold, Vice President of Renowned Interior Design Firm Suzanne Kasler on how he artfully turned his petite powder room into a ‘jewelry box’ of a statement space using Farrow & Ball paint and Ann Sacks tile.
Modern, collected, handsome with always something unexpected.
Embracing the small space and approaching it like a jewel-box, I ultimately decided to paint the walls in a dark, dramatic color. I chose Farrow & Ball Down Pipe and paired it with the Benton Tryst Mosaic from Ann Sacks for a bold statement.
By using materials in an unexpected way. In this bathroom I used a small portion of the tile as a border along the wall to echo the floor tile and draw your eye up.
I like to select colors that complement each other—not the exact same color—but similar hue and saturation. The mosaic is made from a variety of beautiful stones- Bardiglo, Carrara, Statuary, Thassos and Athens Silver Cream - which pair perfectly with the moody tone of Downpipe.

I was inspired by Kelly Wearstler and how she designs with stone so I looked to her graphic tile designs for Ann Sacks as a starting point.
India Yellow---it’s so beautiful, so interesting… it’s yellow but it’s not.
Light Blue---it is light blue but a more sophisticated version of light blue with just the right amount of grey and depth.
Get over it! No risk, no reward!
