Imperial Danby is quarried in Vermont at the Danby Quarry, a bedrock quarry that has been open and operating for more than 100 years. It was the first marble quarry in the US and is the largest underground marble quarry in the world. Imperial Danby is a striking stone that comes from deep within the quarry’s twisting mile-and-a-half deep veins. It has soft grey and gold veins and light to medium veining.
