In the kitchen, Stoffer used brass strips to connect 72-by-30-inch Ann Sacks Lilac marble mini slabs for the backsplash.
“Most people try as hard as they can to match the movement between slabs,” says Stoffer. “But I seamed them with strips of brass, the kind of material that might have been in the house originally. It’s a very pretty element.”

Taj Mahal presents a neutral option with its soft white background laced with soft cream and light brown veining. Due to its understated tonal shading and durability, quartzite has become an extremely popular natural stone for various applications such as countertops, fireplaces, and accent walls.
Quarried in Italy, Lilac is an exceptionally elegant white marble with spectacular veining that ranges in dramatic shades of lavender to black.
This thin porcelain material utilizes cutting edge technology to replicate the dramatic veining of exotic natural stone on a dense, non-porous surface. Grand Antique emulates the rich black backround and bold white veins of a historical French marble.
A rarified, statement-making honed marble, Ovulato features a grey-to-black field contrasted by highly figured veining that ripples, pools, and flows across the surface ranging from bold white strokes to cascading rivulets almost painterly in its effect.
Calacatta Viola is a bold and sophisticated Italian marble. Dramatic burgundy and violet veins swirl around fields of cream and gold, drawing the eye to explore the opulent depths of color and movement.
